A little more about me…
After graduating from the University of Waterloo’s School of Architecture in 2020 and a few years of architectural work experience under my belt, I began to pursue User Experience Design as a means of focusing on the thing that interested me the most: the people that occupy the space, versus the space itself. Don’t get me wrong, buildings are complex and beautiful too but at the core of all my schooling and work experience my passion lay in the occupant’s behaviour and feelings as well as the strategic foresight involved in planning a building, community, or public park.
How could this project adapt to people’s needs over time? How does it make an occupant feel? What does it represent to the community?
These same questions can be asked of our digital spaces. I am entering the User Experience design arena with a wealth of knowledge in empathetic design methodologies driven by curiosity and enthusiasm for discovering how we can translate our tangible built-world experiences to an equally meaningful and functional digital experience: Worlds colliding!
